Welcome to the website of Kampala Integrated Environmental Planning and Management Project (KIEMP). KIEMP is a multi-sector aid project for basic social services. It started in August 2006 and is funded jointly by the Belgian Government, the Government of Uganda and Kampala Capital City Authority. It works towards improving the quality of life in the poor suburbs of Kampala, through enhancing environmental planning and management. To achieve this, KIEMP is carrying out activities in three main areas: strengthening institutional capacity; changing behaviour of local communities towards local infrastructure; and improving environmental and housing conditions. Find out more about the project background, its activities and the people involved in the project in About KIEMP. Click on News for the latest updates on the project. The Reports and Publications section contains some more extensive information to be downloaded. Check the Photo Gallery for a picture overview of the project.
